I follow the board for a while and never heard about anyone discussing the issue of renting your property in Brazil to tourists.

I am considering of buying a beach home in Marica RJ, but would only use it 4-6 months myelf.
Thus the option to rent my home out to potential visitors is an option to make some extra money.

Can you basicaly trust a caretaker to charge your visitors for the weekly/monthly rental fees ? Or do you need rather a pro. agency??

Trust an Brazilian renter is the same as somewhere else: It depends on the person. Nobody can make statements, that this would be more untrusfful here in Brazil. The mainpoint is, you should or MUST informe yourself about the matter. About the person and the legislation!
